This policy explains what happens to the information you give AK Plumbing and Heating through this website. It is written to be read rather than to be legally impressive.
What we collect
If you use the callback form or the instant estimator, we collect your name, phone number and postcode, plus whatever you tell us about the job. That is all we ask for, and we do not ask for an email address.
If you ring or message us on WhatsApp, we hold your phone number and the conversation in the ordinary way any business does.
Why we collect it
- To ring you back about the job you asked about
- To work out whether your postcode is somewhere we cover
- To keep a record of work quoted and carried out
The lawful basis is legitimate interest — you asked us to get in touch about a job, and we need your details to do that.
Where it goes
Form submissions are delivered through JotForm, which stores them on our behalf so the enquiry is not lost if an email goes astray. JotForm acts as a data processor. Nothing you send through this site is sold, rented or passed to anyone for marketing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become jobs are deleted after twelve months. Records relating to work we actually carried out are kept for six years, which is what tax and insurance requirements expect.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email akplumbinginfo@gmail.com or ring 07343 060206 and we will deal with it within a month.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
