Microbore is the Hellesdon heating problem
A great many of the seventies heating upgrades here were first-fixed in microbore — 8mm or 10mm pipe running to each radiator. It was quick to install and it works, right up until the system silts. Microbore blocks far faster than 15mm because there is so much less bore to lose, which is why the classic Hellesdon symptom is one radiator that has never worked properly and never will
Sometimes a power flush clears it. Sometimes the run is genuinely finished and needs replacing, and on a suspended floor that means lifting boards. Which of those you are looking at gets established before you are quoted, not halfway through
What else these houses need at the same time
The original cast iron soil stacks are still standing on plenty of these semis. They corrode from the inside and the first sign is usually a damp patch rather than anything dramatic. If the floor is coming up for heating work anyway, it is worth looking at the stack while access is open rather than paying twice
Radiator sizing is the other one. A radiator that was right for a house with no loft insulation and single glazing is often oversized now, and the ones in extensions are almost always undersized. Both get measured properly on the survey rather than replaced like-for-like out of habit
