Working in Thornham
A small village on the coast road with a disproportionate number of places to eat and stay, plus flint and carrstone cottages behind them. The exposure here is about as bad as Norfolk gets.
At around an hour and a half from base this is the edge of what makes sense for us. We take it as planned work, grouped with Brancaster and the Burnhams on the same run.

Hospitality premises have different demands
A pub or a small hotel has hot water demand no domestic system would recognise, and cannot simply close while something is fixed. Work here gets scheduled around service, not around us.
LPG rather than oil or gas
A number of properties along this stretch run on bottled or bulk LPG. It is its own discipline with its own regulations, and it is worth confirming before we set off.
Full exposure to the coast
Salt, wind and driven rain from the north. Flue terminals, external runs and anything through an exposed wall need more attention here than anywhere else we cover.
